In this advanced learner training series you will advance your previous skills and source a greater understanding of becoming a solo and independent driver. Independent driving, dealing with road signs and markings and building up valuable road experience whilst preparing for your practical exam. In this series of training: you will study and practice the following topics: Independent driving, the use, and navigation of a sat nav, eco-driving, dual carriageways, slip roads, judgement of overtaking, country lanes and bends, response to road signs and markings, the use of speed, following other vehicles, road position and lane control.

In this lesson you shall be looking at how to deal with dual-carriageways. You will learn how to use them, how to position the car, lane discipline, road signs and markings and deal with overtaking vehicles.

In this lesson you shall learn how to deal with slip roads and how to emerge on and off slip roads safely. You will learn using a variety of slip roads alongside many different speed limits. This lesson is to coincide with the dual carriageways lesson.

In this lesson you shall learn all about following and stopping distances and learn adequate distances when passing vehicles. You will adopt positive distances to increase your judgement and road safety.

Country Lanes
In this lesson you will be learning how to deal with country lanes and road position. You will gain experience in a variety of country lanes, villages and roads.

Dealing with bends
In this lesson, you will learn how to deal with bends in the road. You will learn how to approach, brake, position and navigate safely through a bend in good and adverse weather conditions.

In this lesson, you will learn how to position the car safely in all driving conditions and road types. You will learn how to improve your lane discipline on roundabouts and in general driving.

In this lesson you will learn how to drive independently with and without the sat nav. You will follow road signs and verbal directions and advance on to a sat nay journey.

In this lesson, you will advance your skills and knowledge with road signs and markings. You will learn why it is important to be able respond safely and in a timely manor to all signs and markings.

Ancillary controls
In this lesson you will advance your knowledge and understanding through the application of using the ancillary controls. These shall include: de-misters, window wipers and washers, and dipped lights.

In this lesson you will look at the use of speed. You will study how to use speed positively in all driving conditions. You will advance you skill-set to include: Approach speed, progress and the control of speed within speed limits.
